In 98% mint crisp condition, we have a scarce and extremely desirable end of war April, 1945 production Mauser svw 45 P.38 Pistol, The TRUE GRAY GHOST! This variant has the phosphate finish with just a tinge of green color in the finish, which is highly desirable to collectors. This pistol is in the final nazi “f” block and was probably made just days before the Mauser plant was occupied by the Allies. Just to be clear this is 100% a Nazi pistol, and not the post war French variant; it was made while Hitler was still alive and kicking.
Most of the svw production were dual tone mixed blue and phosphate finished, the all phosphate pistols are SCARCE. P.38’s with the svw code are very difficult to locate as they were only made for a few months in 1945. They are among the most desirable variants for collectors and this example will not hang around for very long.
