In 98% mint crisp condition, we have an extremely rare, seldom seen Nazi Era Pistol. This is a 1940 Czech Cz 36 Pistol & a very rare no safety variant at that, which was sent in 1940 to Germany to be Nazi Eagle/N proofed and sold by the Famous German Gun Dealer Genshow & Co. known as “GECO”. The pistol is mint crisp, and is in the small .25 auto caliber and is of the class of diminutive pistols often referred to as “Vest Pocket Pistols” . Most of these Cz 36 pistols were made with a manual safety but a scarce version with no safety was also made and that is what this example is.
The Cz 36 was considered to be the most advanced Vest Pocket Sized Pistol of the day, as it was a double action only smooth shooting little gem. After the war a slightly simplified model called the CZ 45 went into production, and in a tribute to how advanced the design is, versions of this pistol are still being made to this day.
During the Nazi/WWII era, small pistols like this would have been sought out by High ranking officers and Nazi Officials and also and perhaps even more so by She-Nazis and Nazi Nurses who also needed some form of last ditch protection. If you only had one tiny pistol in your collection this would certainly be my first choice.
