In 98% very sharp condition, we have a US WW2 issued Colt Commando revolver with the standard 4 inch barrel in .38 Special. According to Colts this pistol was shipped to the US Maritime Commission Warehouse in Charlotte North Carolina in early 1944. We have a Colt Letter coming on this gun. Likely this revolver was used to arm the crew of a Liberty Ship or some other type of Merchant Marine vessel. While many of the revolvers were issued to guard war plants this seagoing Colt is a much more historically intriguing piece. Of course this is completely matching and factory original.
