$3,200.00

In 97% original very sharp condition we have a top example of a Ithaca 1911a1 pistol that was probably manufactured in August or September of 1943.  This is one of the last pistols that was made without the in-house factory inspection symbols on the left trigger guard bow.  It is also very unusual and more desirable as it was factory  assembled with an “M1911 A1 U.S.ARMY” marked replacement slide as a significant number of pistols were known to have been in this serial range as noted by both Meadows and Clawson.  Like many Ithaca pistols produced in this time frame it uses a Springfield Armory Supplied barrel.  This is indeed a very interesting Ithaca pistol that probably left the factory in the late Summer of 1943.  It is atypical and highly desirable due to the fact that it was manufactured with a replacement slide and is one of the last of the pistols made prior to the adoption of the additional quality control inspections as evidenced by factory inspection symbols being added on the left trigger bow.  This is a great pistol if you need an Ithaca for your collection or you are a big fan of these New York made pistols.  Shipping records indicate this likely was shipped either to Rock Island or Augusta Arsenals.
