Here is something you don’t see everyday…….We have a U.S. Property marked Canadian Inglis made Boys Anti Tank Rifle MkII that was purchased by the US during WW2 and issued to the Marine Corps. The caliber on this example is .50 Browning Machine Gun. so it is sold just like any other bolt action rifle and can be purchased as a curio and relic. This also comes with a box full of original spare parts for the Weapon that would be worth a small fortune today. Due to the size and weight, we will not ship this monster but it can be picked up at the office or we will deliver it to any gun show that we plan on attending.
The boys anti tank rifles that were deployed in combat saw some significant success in the early years of WW2 on some of the early models of Russian, German and Japanese tanks. It was heavily used in the Finnish Winter War and in the early stages of WW2 and up through 1943 it saw front line service. They were also famously employed by the Marine Raider Units and specifically on the Makin Island raid one of them brought down a large Japanese Flying Boat aircraft, of which the remains are still visible today. As you might well imagine this is one of those large very flashy pieces that everybody wants to have in their collection. They rarely come up for sale and even are more scarce US marked.
