Description

In exceptionally rare mint crisp original un-issued  condition, not rebuilt nor import marked or overhauled, we have a nearly impossible to find pristine 1918 dated Steyr M95 Stutzen Rifle/Carbine in the original 8x50R cartridge.   This is original and matching and the stock is just stunning! This is what a mint WW1 issued Austrian Carbine would have looked like as issued during the war, something you just never ever see.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire was one of the largest combatants in the war, and while we do encounter the handguns in original condition the long arms just do not survive in an original state.  The Stutzen short rifle was the primary weapon of the mountain troops who fought in the Tirol against the Italians and was also used by the Stormtoopers as well.  That makes this a must have item for any serious WW1/WW2 collector!    Absolutely finest example of  a M95 Stutzen that we have ever encountered in 35 years!

Scotty’s Collector Insights….This looks like it was brought back in a Time Machine.  It’s been impeccably kept for over a hundred years.  If you are a fan of the Dual Empire in WWI, then you need this rifle, it’s virtually untouched.  A true rarity in this condition.Â
