Description

In very good been in the fight factory original condition, we have an extremely difficult to locateĀ U.S. WWI Issued M-1903 Springfield Rifle that was manufactured in June 1918 at the height of wartime production, one of the last blued rifles manufactured before the black phosphate finish was adopted.Ā  Ā This rifle is above the 800k serial number range so it is safe to shoot as it’s been properly heat treated.Ā  Ā  This rifle is 100% factory original with an excellent bore.Ā  It seems to be in factory original condition, but it does have an additional rebuild/re-inspection cartouche and extra “P” proof.

As you know, most of the rifles issued during the War were the M-1917 U.S. Enfield, as M-1903 production could just not keep up with the demand of fielding an army.Ā  Almost all of these guns were rebuilt and reworked after both world wars and finding a rifle such as this is an absolute extreme rarity.Ā Ā Today in 2023 we are at the one hundred and 5 year mark for the fiercest fighting the USĀ  forces participated in.Ā  This is certainly an important artifact of those times and in a condition that would be impossible to find in most museums.
