Description

In 98% beautiful stunning condition, we have a very rare late war, 1944 production Walther PP Pistol in .22lr.  This is made so much more visually alluring by the fact that it left the factory with those very desirable seldom seen red composite late war grips, which really make this pistol pop!  This is all matching with a mint bore as well.

One might ask what in the world was Walther doing making a .22 caliber pistol when Germany was losing the war, but there was actually a great need for pistols such as this to train the recruits how to shoot and .22 rimfire ammunition was much better suited to training.  These pistols would have been made for use by the Hitler Youth and the SA who did a lot of the pre-induction weapons training for the Army.

If you collect Walther Pistols this will be one of those must have pieces that will shine in your collection due to the unusual combination of features this pistol offers.
