In totally mint sharp condition, we have a top example of the US Army WW2 Sniper Rifle, the M1903A4 Springfield Rifle as made by Remington. This rifle was rebuilt and upgraded post WWII by Rock Island Armory prior to being placed in war reserve storage until it would have been issued in the Korean War. The scope was upgraded to the M84 scope which was a vast improvement over the scopes used on these rifles during WWII. Rifles such as this were used in combat as late as the Vietnam war era.
While not the most glamorous sniper rifle of WW2, these rifles were very dependable and accurate, and in fact they continued to serve in combat right into Vietnam. This proves the soundness of the rifle and the scope. You would be hard pressed to find a finer example for your collection.
