WED MAR 13, CHOICE, JAPANESE WWII TYPE 94 PISTOL, 19.9 date ( SEPT, 1944) LATER WAR PRODUCTION, MINT CRISP!

In 98% mint crisp condition still with the original matching numbered mag, we have a September, 1944 19.9 date production Nambu Type 94 Pistol with a rare original canvas holster.  The pistol is all matching and has a mint bore.    All later war type 94’s have a very sketchy look but this one is quite appealing it has a great blue finish on it that you rarely see.  This is certainly one of the crispest examples of a later war Type 94 Nambu that we have seen.  It must have hit the blue tank when the chemicals were fresh because it’s much nicer than we usually see these pistols which just have a faint wash of blue on them.

The Type 94 Pistol is widely and often maligned as the worst manufactured and designed pistol used by the any of the major combatants of the Second World War.  None the less, these pistols were fully functional and fairly reliable.  It is certainly better than carrying a sword!  As far as collecting Japanese firearms goes, it is much scarcer than the Type 14 Nambu and is quite seriously collected and this is a top example of a the 1944 variant.
