Description

In 95% condition we have a very interesting French WWI Military Issue Astra Made .32 auto Ruby Type Pistol that was apparently a German WWI captured pistol that was sold Post War by Genchow & Co. as it has the “Geco” retailer mark on it.  It is my understanding that things like this were sold off by The Germans post WWI and that is probably how this ended up with the Geco marking.  Astra made the best quality Ruby pistols during the war so it was not much of a stretch for a quality piece like this to be sold commercially in Germany as Astra was a highly regarded name in the European trade.

I would imagine that this pistol saw service on both sides of the trenches during the war which makes it a very interesting relic of the Great World War.  The nice thing about it is that the price on these pistols is still very modest, especially considering the history that they went through.
