This is what everyone thinks of when they think of a WWII Colt 1911a1 Pistol, indeed when Colt made their WWII reproduction a few years back they copied it after an early 1942 production Waldemar Broberg inspected pistol. This pistol was shipped from Colt’s to Springfield Armory June 10, 1942. The pistol is in 96% very sharp condition and the bore is mint.
This pistol has two small issues that keep it from being a $4600 pistol, firstly there is a small splotch on the slide, and the barrel is a Colt Barrel from the late WWI era. the barrel was likely changed out during the war from an armors kit, otherwise everything else is factory original and it still of course has the matching slide. If you have or can locate the correct large “G” barrel for this pistol you would be looking at a minimum 4k gun.
