Back nearly 50 years ago in 1976, the American Historical Society commissioned Aldo Uberti to make 1200 exact, fully functional premium grade replicas of the Famous Wogdon, London Made .54 caliber smoothbore Dueling Pistols that were once owned by Alexander Hamilton and used to kill him in his duel with Arron Burr. These are exact copies; if you dug up Alexander Hamilton and handed these pistols to him, he could not tell any difference. They are real flintlock pistols and if you load them up and shoot them at someone, they will be able to reenact the death of good Ole A.H. and you would be in jail for un-authorized dueling leading to murder. They are very heavy with solid brass ends and very fine sights and are made for accurate shots. Â
Now a days Alexander Hamilton has blown up to be a huge, big deal, in our cultural zeitgeist, so a lot of folks will want to own these very fine, highly artistic and well executed brace of pistols. They would be magnificent hanging on a wall, or you may have a grudge to settle…
