In excellent condition we have a very rare and seldom seen circa 1942-43 E&F Hoerster made Nazi Hunting Association Hunting Dagger or Cutlass. The blade is double etched with Germanic Hunting scenes and the mountings are in German Silver. This is an exceptionally fine example of a rarely seen dagger. There are several large collectors of these blades that snap up everyone that comes to the market so they are rarely seen for sale.
The Nazi Hunting Assn was an early Conservation based group that was headed by Herman Goring that believed in the ethical hunting of animals and other high minded practices. Unfortunately they did not extend these views towards humanity. This is one of the most visually stunning pieces from the Nazi era.
