Description

In 96% very sharp condition, we have a scarce and seldom seen Italian Army WW1 Issue Model 1915 Beretta 7.65mm Pistol.  The Model 1915 was a wartime emergency pistol produced by Beretta to arm the Italian Army in WW1 but they are not as roughly made as the 1917 variant.  Production ceased in 1921 as it was not really suitable for the commercial market.  This pistol has the rarer DR proof mark which makes it slightly more desirable than the PR marked pistols.

This pistol is made even more interesting by the fact that is is also post WW1 Czech Military/Police proofed so it may have been Austrian Captured during the war and then re-issued to the Czechs in the post WWI period.   These pistols also saw use in WW2 and were also used by Finnish forces who purchased several thousand as well.  If you collect Beretta pistols or WW1 firearms then this pistol will be of interest to you.
