I would imagine any French Pre WWI pistols from the Belle Epoch would be scarce anywhere but for this item to turn up is quite interesting, especially for French or FN 1900 collectors.  IN about 94% condition, we have a 1911/12 Production FN Model 1900 Pistol, Property Marked to the Prefecture de Police de Paris. It is rigged out with the correct ultra rare French Police holster and one spare magazine. The bore is excellent and the pistol is matching.
In 1912 Paris Police acquired FN 1900 pistols as a result of the deprivations of the Notorious, Murderous, Anarchist Bonnot Gang, who were also armed with these ultra modern pistols, commonly carrying one in each hand. This gang went on a mobile rampage with automobile and FN1900 Pistols robbing banks and shooting people dead with no provocation. If you can Imagine Bonnie & Clyde and the Dillinger Gang on Steroids that was the Bonnot Gang. Their Crime spree was only stopped with the liberal use of the French Army and Dynamite. This pistol is the best tangible link you could own from these times.  ACCORDING TO ANTHONY VANDERLINDEN THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND ONE KNOWN TO STILL EXIST!
