Description

In 98% Mint crisp condition, we have a wonderful example of an early war 1942 production ac 42 Coded Walther P.38 Pistol.  This is all matching with a mint bore and comes fully rigged out with the correct spare no v marked mag and a minty gfg 1942 coded ( Carl Hepptig, Stuttgart) black hardshell holster.  The numbering of mags was discontinued at the end of the ac 42 “b” block so these mags are correctly not numbered as the pistol is from the later “d” block.  This is a very attractive piece with a beautiful military finish.

This is a vet brought back pistol a William A. Taylor.  He was in the Coast Artillery and probably was attached to a heavy artillery unit in Europe.  He was wounded as well.  This is a prime example of an early war production Walther P.38 fully rigged out exactly as it came home as a treasured war trophy.
