Description

Certainly, one of the most historically significant French pistols we have had in the office, this pistol played an important role in the May-July 1940, Battle for and Fall of France.

In 95% condition we have an early 1939 production SACM Mle 1935A Pistol. This pistol is part of the very first group of standard production pistols shipped in 1939 to the French Army at Parc Regional du Material, Bourges which was the main supply center for the entire French Army.     The gun is in all matching condition with a mint bore.

It is very likely this pistol would have been captured or surrendered to the Germans who would have then re-issued it to their occupation forces in France.  These early prewar/pre fall of France pistols are highly collectible and are in extreme demand.  VERY FEW 1935A PISTOLS WERE PRODUCED BEFORE THE FALL OF FRANCE AND FINDING ONE IS A REAL CHORE!
