In very good been in the trenches condition, we have a 1916 dated German WWI Mauser Gewehr 98 Service Rifle, produced by one of the harder to find makers, V C Schilling, Suhl. This rifle is all matching with the exception of the screws and the rear sight, all the major parts match and the bore is decent. The stock cartouches are clear and decent, and this is a much nicer example of this very famous rifle.
The Gew98 is one of the most well-known military Rifles of the 20th century, it is the Mauser rifle that is so famous to anyone who has ever seen “All Quite on the Western Front” For many yearsThese rifles have always been nearly impossible to find with a matching bolt. This is a stand up example of a German WWI Mauser.
