In 97% mint sharp condition we have and extremely rare and seldom seen 1932 French Navy Purchased FN Model 1922 pistol in 7.65mm/.32 auto. Only 5500 of these rare pistols were ordered by the French Navy and most did not survive WWII. This is fully rigged out with the holster and spare magazine. They are notable for stylish Anchor roll engraved on the top of the slide and the phosphate and black enamel finish that was developed by FN for the French. This finish is rarely seen today because almost all of these pistols were refinished post WWII. This pistol is all matching with an excellent bore.
The French Navy was mostly interned during the war and even attacked by the British, but there were Free French Navy ships that fought with the Allies as Well. If you collect FN Pistols or French Martial Arms this is one of the most desirable pistols of the WWII era from a Francophile standpoint.
