Description

In 95% very sharp original condition, we have a very rare 1918 DWM Luger that was Totenkops/Lazy S marked for SS on top of the receiver.  This is guaranteed original and genuine it corresponds completely with other known authentic examples.  This pistol is completely matching with the exception of the magazine. Unlike some examples it does not appear to have been reworked.  It is believed that these guns were reworked at Dachau Concentration camp no later than 1940 for SS use in the concentration camps that were expanding at the time.  It is believed that these pistols would have been carried by the SS Totenkopf Verbande camp guards in the horrendous and odious Nazi work and death camps.    This is a ghastly but important artifact of WW2 and clearly establishes the Nazi intent to instill terror and un-mitigated evil on those that they enslaved and deemed unwanted.  Important things to be mindful of at the time of the 79th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz.

This Luger just came out of the woodwork and was found with other ephemera and documents from Dachau, so we believe that this Luger was  a Vet liberated War Trophy that was taken from that infamous camp.
