Description

In excellent eye popping condition, we have a US WWII 1943 Production Winchester Model 12 Trench Shotgun.  This is a totally textbook completely orthodox example exactly as it should be.  The stock is beautiful and the cartouche is very crisp.  This example was made in the early part of the production run and would date from early 1943.  Original Model 12 shotguns in this condition are much harder to find than Model 97’s because unlike the Model 97’s these shotguns were retained post war and most of them were reworked and issued as late as Vietnam.  This is a trenchgun we rarely see and in a condition that is just about un-obtainable.

Scotty’s Collector Insight…This is a TOUGH gun to find in this condition, we see 5 times as many mint Model 97’s as we do Model 12’s.  This is as nice as they get!
