SOLD COLT 1911 US ARMY, SHIPPED FEB, 1914 TO NEW YORK ARSENAL, 100% ORIGINAL & VERY SHARP! WITH UNIT MARKED HOLSTER TOO!

In 95% very sharp condition,100% factory original and with a mint bore, we have an early 1914 production Colt model 1911 US Army that was shipped to the New York Arsenal, Governors Island, NY on February 4, 1914 as part of a shipment of 500 pistols. This pistol is a wonderful example of an early 1914 production Colt 1911, it still has the very desirable short hammer and high polished small parts. The pistol is textbook correct and 100% factory original, exactly as it Left Hartford for New York in 1914.

New York National Guard attributed Colts are quite scarce and extremely desirable; these are the pistols that went overseas with the New York Regiments such as the fighting 69th.  The gun is married up to a very nice WWI unit marked m1912 holster that it probably came back from the war with.  This is a fine Colt with a great New York connection.

Scotty’s Collector Insight….This set-up is a consignment and unlike most consigned items it is grossly underpriced because the Consignor needs liquidity.  I feel that this rig should pull at least $4800 with the holster.  This is a New York shipped pistol and that alone enhances the value as well.  So if you are looking for a 100% original WWI era Colt this is a fine example being offered well under retail.
