SOLD, VERY SCARCE “W SUFFIX” VARIANT WALTHER PPK…1939 PRODUCTION, ALL ORIGINAL HIGH POLISH FINISH, MINT CRISP!
$2,950.00
Out of stock
In 98% mint crisp condition, Here’s a very scarce, and mysterious, Walther PPK pistol. This PPK was manufactured in 1939 and has the unusual “W-suffix” serial number (the PPK pistols normally had a K-suffix at this time). These pistols show up in a specific serial range and it is estimated that only a few thousand were manufactured. It has not yet been determined the significance of the special serial number, but you can be fairly certain that the few guns made up with the W-suffix were some sort of important special order…Walther would not go to the trouble of deviating from normal production without due cause. This is an interesting Walther PPK, with a beautiful high polish finish, that was made the same year that Germany invaded Poland and started WWII in Europe!
This pistol is completely original!
Scotty’s Collector Insights…This is a very mysterious PPK. they were a special contract with a special serial number but who ordered them is presently still unknown. When that information eventually comes to light you will be very glad you own this stunning example.
