IN 85% ORIGINAL CONDITON WE HAVE A PRE WAR 1938 PRODUCTION TT33 TOKAREV PISTOL. THIS IS AN ALL MATCHING PISTOL INCLUDING THE MAGAZINE AND THE BORE IS IN FINE CONDITION. THIS IS A TOTALLY MATCHING EXAMPLE.
AS YOU KNOW TRUE NON IMPORT & NON SAFETY ADDED TOKAREV PISTOLS ARE HARD TO FIND AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS. THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF TOKS IN THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE THE GEOGRAPHY OF WW2 PRECLUDED MANY FROM COMING HERE, ONLY A HANDFUL THAT WERE RE-CAPTURED FROM GERMAN FORCES. A FEW MORE CAME IN FROM KOREA AND FROM VIETNAM. EVERYBODY NEEDS A TOK OR TWO IN THEIR COLLECTION AND THIS IS A GOOD START. FINDING AN EXAMPLE THIS EARLY STILL WITH A MATCHING MAG IS SIGNIFICANT.
Scotty’s Collectors Insight…This pistol has 3 great things going for it; it early 1938 production when annual output was quite small, it still has the factory original matching mag, and it still has a lot of finish left. This makes this piece extremely desirable to any knowledgeable collector. From a historical standpoint this pistol has been around from the Stalinist purges right through the maelstrom of WWII.
