WE DON’T DO A LOT OF ENFIELD RIFLES ON THIS SITE, BUT I DID STUMBLE INTO A COUPLE OF REAL HONEY’S SO I DRAGGED THEM BACK TO THE OFFICE. HERE WE HAVE A STUNNING EXAMPLE OF A 1950 PRODUCTION LONG BRANCH NO. 4 RIFLE. THIS IS ALL MATCHING AND FACTORY ORIGINAL. THIS WAS THE LAST YEAR THEY WERE EVER MADE. PRODUCTION WAS STARTED UP AFTER WW2 TO ARM THE ARMY UNITS GOING TO KOREA. THE 1950 DATED RIFLES ARE CONSIDERED TO BE THE BEST LONG BRANCH RIFLES THAT WERE EVER MADE AND THEIR ACCURACY IS LEGENDARY. THE THING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT WAS ISSUED. THIS RIFLE IS NOT BRITISH PROOFED SO CLEARLY THIS ONE STAYED IN THE CANADIAN ARMY DURING ITS SERVICE LIFE. THIS IS JUST A MUSEUM GRADE EXAMPLE OF THE CANADIAN WW2 / KOREAN CONFLICT SERVICE RIFLE IN A NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND CONDITION. I CAN’T KEEP EVERY MINT GUN THAT WE GET BUT I SURE DO LIKE THIS RIFLE AND THE OTHER ONE THAT WE TOOK IN AS WELL. YOU MAY HAVE READ IN THE NEWS RECENTLY THAT THE CANADIAN RANGERS WERE GIVING UP THEIR NO. 4 RIFLES BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT FIND PARTS. I BET MANY A RANGER WOULD GIVE A TOOTH OR TWO TO GET THEIR HANDS ON THIS NEW 65 YEAR OLD RIFLE! YOU COULD NOT HAVE A BETTER FRIEND IN THE WOODS OF THE GREAT WHITE NORTH!
