Description
In mint new never worn condition, we have an extremely rare and highly desirable very early WW2 circa 1941 early M1 fixed bail helmet with the extremely rare early Hood Rubber manufactured liner. The helmet is mint and not issued. The shell still has almost all of the original cork finished paint. The liner as you may notice is in pristine condition. These early rubber liners and the cardboard and fabric Hawley liners were replaced very early in the war with the fiberglass liner. This is a fantastic example of the very first of the M1 helmets to be used in WW2. Certainly one of the most iconic artifacts of America at War in WW2.
