Description

Absolutely one of the scarcest rarely seen German WW2 rifles and if you are lucky to see one it is rarely ever complete.  This one is complete, and it is a real corker too!  In excellent condition 100% matching and factory original, we have an uber rare Steyr Made G29o Luftwaffe Rifle.  We sell these rifles in the $5500 range because they are so scarce, but this one is unusual in that the G.I. who brought it back had his buddies carve there names into the stock, there is a date as well, August 8, 1945, so that may have been when this occurred. It certainly is very poignant, but some will find it off putting while others will love it, so we priced it at a softer price to reflect this.    These rifles were part of a contract of Steyr Solothurn Colombian M30 rifles that was being manufactured at Steyr when the 1938 Anschluss occurred.  The Luftwaffe, in desperate need of small arms,  immediately took over the production and the rifle was modified as much as possible to the standard 98k Rifle configuration.  It was made briefly in 1938 and early 1939, after which the factory was re-tooled to manufacture the standard K98k rifle.  These rifles are all Luftwaffe marked and they are rarely ever seen today.  This may well be your only chance to obtain a top condition complete specimen of this rifle.
