SOLD B-425 RARE CASE MADE O.S.S. ISSUE APPLEGATE-FAIRBAIRN SMATCHET WITH SCABBARD

In mint condition we have a very rare O.S.S. issued Smatchet as made by Case.  These rather viscous looking knife-hatchet hybrids were used by both British commadoes and special agents of the O.S.S & the SOE.   They were first carried on the famous Dieppe raid by the Canadians and were employed in many operations.  This is a top example of the very scarce and infamous chopper.
