In mint very sharp excellent condition, we have a top example of an October, 1943 production Type 1 Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbine. This is a stunning example from the first contract run which are encountered with the high wood stock and the flip sight. The pistol grip has one of the nicest cartouches on the bottom that I have ever seen, and the circle P proof is in the correct location. This is a completely factory original textbook example. The M1A1 is a very popular and highly sought after piece of equipage and its use in the airborne operations in Normandy during the invasion is legendary. This is a top example and more importantly a genuine example. This is hands down the finest example that we have seen, it was certainly officer carried as evidenced by the name stenciled on the sling. You will not find a nicer example.
