In mint crisp all matching non-import marked condition, we have a seldom seen Italian 1891/41 Carcano Rifle for Alpine Troops. This example was made at Terni Arsenal in 1941, the first year of production for this model. This is still with the rare sling and a box of 1941 dated original ammunition. These rifles were manufactured from 1941 to 1943 primarily to arm the Italian divisions that fought on the Russian Front, although they were encountered in other areas as well, though they are most closely associated with the Italians who fought in Russia. They are rarely seen here in America except in turd condition and import marked, so this is something of a find. Surprisingly, while not expensive, decent original condition Italian Service Rifles are a bit elusive to locate and we rarely get such nice examples in the office. This is a top notch example.
