Sold IMPORTANT DOCUMENTED EARLIEST KNOWN NAZI MARKED FRENCH 1935A PISTOL…..E/655 PROOFED….ULTRA RARE LESS THAN 500!!!

In 96% condition we have absolutely the earliest known Waffenamted E/655 French Nazi 1935A Pistol.  It was assembled right at the crossover between French control and Nazi occupation of the factory.  Only 500 pistols were inspected by the office associated with E/655 proof, likely sent over from the Mauser factory for an initial inspection of the French factory.  This pistol has been known since at least the early 1980’s and is pictured on page 88 of Volume II of Whittington.  Such a well known piece belongs in a very advanced collectors holdings.
