Description

In excellent very sharp condition, we have a model 1898 Krag rifle that was manufactured near the end of the production run in 1902.  The gun is 100% original with a mint bore.  This is one of the nicest Krag rifles that we have seen in while and although we rarely deal in firearms of this era we thought that this was such an attractive example that you would like to have in your fine collection. The very bright fire blue is very much in evidence on this rifle.   Although it was not in front line service for many years, this was the rifle of the Spanish Americian war and its shortcomings (mostly to do with the cartridge it fired)  led to the development of the 1903 Springfield rifle.  This is a really top example of this Norwegian design.
