Description

IN 95% ORIGINAL CONDITION WE HAVE A NICE EXAMPLE OF A VERY HARD TO FIND MID 1914 PRODUCTION  COLT 1911 US ARMY PISTOL.  THIS PISTOL WAS ONE OF ONLY 350 SENT TO BRIG GENERAL THOMAS J STEWART, HARRISBURG, PA FOR THE NATIONAL GUARD OF THAT STATE ON JULY 3, 1914.   ALMOST CERTAINLY THIS PISTOL SAW ACTION IN WWI WITH THE PA  GUARD UNITS THAT WENT INTO SERVICE WITH THE REGULAR ARMY AND STRAIGHT OVER TO FRANCE.  THE GUN IS 100% CORRECT INCLUDING THE VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL BARREL.

IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE IT WAS THERE AND DID IT………… IT HAS A LOT OF ROMANTIC APPEAL EVEN TO ME. THESE EARLY PISTOLS ARE VERY TOUGH TO FIND IN THIS FINE CONDITION AS MOST OF THEM SAW CONTINUOUS HEAVY USE RIGHT THROUGH 2 WORLD WARS.
