In 98% mint crisp condition, we have a very rare and highly interesting P.38 variant. This is a non-import marked Nazi wafffenamted WaA135 “g” block true Gray Ghost all phosphate finished pistol, with the final inspection being a Post War French Star. This pistol was probably already nearly completed and on the factory floor when the French took control of the factory and was assembled and test proofed under their supervision in early May, 1945 just weeks after the surrender. The pistol is totally matching and the bore is mint as well. Not being import marked it is likely one of the pistols that GI’s purchased out of the factory for the brief few months over the summer of 1945 that it was possible to do so. Finding this pistol not import marked and in this pristine condition and with almost all of the Nazi markings is quite uncommon and a real find for serious P.38 collectors. Almost all of the post war French P.38 Pistols were imported by Interarms and are so marked. This is a very special pistol for the tail end of your collection or for those with interest in this very last of the war production.
