Description

In excellent condition we have an British WW1/WW2 issued Enfield made 1916 dated No1 Mk111∗ Lee Enfield Service Rifle.  This rifle is all matching and has a mint bore.  The stock is well marked and matching.  The stock still has the brass unit marked disc.  This is very typical of the type of rifle that would have been used during the trench warfare of WWI and also during the early stages of WW2 in France by the British Expeditionary forces as the No4 rifle was not available in large numbers at the time, it is exactly what was in service in the B.E.F. during the evacuation of Dunkirk, or in North Africa.  Really clean all matching Lee Enfield No1 MkIII rifles such as this top condition gem are very tough to find; this is a great example of the legendary British service rifle that served in both wars.  Finding clean SMLE’s is not an easy thing to do most were litterally completely worn out and used up.
