In 96% very sharp condition, we have a top example of an early Nazi production ViZ35 Radom Pistol. This is from the F block and is one of the early non slotted variation. Of course this is all matching and the bore is excellent. This pistol would have been produced in late 1941 as a parts kit at the Former Polish State Arsenal at Radom under very draconian semi slave labor and the parts kits were then shipped to Steyr in Austria where the Barrels were made and the pistols were assembled. The Nazis did not want complete weapons to be built at the plant for fear of them being stolen and used by the Polish underground.
The ViZ35 was absolutely one of the finest weapons made from this era and they are avidly collected and cherished not only for the design but also for the history that they symbolize. Certainly one of my most favorite handguns for collecting. These early non slotted Radoms are fairly scarce, likely most of them were used up in Russia and they are not commonly seen here.
