Description

In excellent mint crisp condition, completely matching as well, we have a very seldom seen Hungarian manufactured 1943 dated German WW2 issued G98/40 Rifle.  This rifle is the Nazified version of the Hungarian 35M Military Rifle, the main improvement being a box magazine.  This rifle is unusual in that it has a Mannlicher action and a two piece stock.    When buying one of these rifles there are two things that you must always check: #1 that the sight hood is on the rifle, and #2 that the front part of the bolt, the rotating extractor is still there.  If these parts are not intact you will never find a replacement.  Of course this is a pristine complete example and the 2 piece stock is just stunning with very sharp looking cartouches.  This is the cleanest example of this very scarce German rifle that we have come across.
