Description

In 98% very sharp condition, we have an early 1944 production under Nazi Occupation FN/Browning High Power Pistol from the “b” production block, fully rigged out with a dla 44 coded holster and spare magazine.  This rig is named to Lt William E. Tyler of Virginia who was in the Headquarters Co of the 318th Infantry Regiment of the 80th Division, known as the “Blue Ridge Division.” who were part of Patton’s 3rd Army.  This pistol was said to have been a War Trophy from the Liberation of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge.

This pistol is all matching with a mint bore and little grip strap wear which you see so much of on High Powers of this vintage.  There are well known pictures of Luftwaffe troops using these pistols in the Battle of the Bulge and this may have been used by those forces during the battle.
