In 99% MINT NEW condition AND NOT IMPORT MARKED, we have a fine example of a very rarely seen WWII Finnish Army issued SA Marked Military Pistooli L-35 commonly called the Lahti Pistol after its native designer Aimo Lahti. This pistol was presented to the Immediate Post WWII US Ambassador to Finland as a gift. It is considered to be the finest condition example of an Actual Wartime Issued Finnish Lahti Pistol in the US. This pistol is completely matching with an SA marked mag as well. This Pistol has gained a legendary and very out-sized status from the Winter War and the Continuation War. It may surprise you to know that only around 5,000 of these pistols were in service during this time and few survived the war. This pistol was made right at the end of 1943 or early 1944 and it is of the early type with the loaded chamber indicator which looks like a hump on the top of the receiver. This distinctive feature is not found on the post war production pistols and was not used on the Swedish Pistols either, giving these pistols a very distinctive look.
The L-35 Lahti is one of the most Legendary Pistols of the 20th Century, conjuring up romantic views of a Finnish soldier just flawlessly popping off Russian invaders with this pistol in the middle of an Arctic Snow Storm. The Swedish made examples are just poseur copies of the real Finnish Lahti. This is a rare chance to own a Genuine Finnish Army Lahti in pristine condition.
