In 99% mint crisp condition, we have a scarce British 1940 contract early production Argentine Ballester Molina .45 acp Pistol with the special “B” serial number as do all these pistols purchased by the British during WWII. This pistol is matching with a mint bore and they were probably imported in the 1950’s when released from Government storage.
These pistols have a very interesting history in WWII. They were used in North Africa by the British 8th Army and also more famously by the agents of the British SOE- Special Operations Executive who would have carried them in occupied Europe and provided them to resistance agents as well. If you collect pistols from the clandestine war against the Nazis this is a must have pistol.
