FRI MAY 30, VERY CHOICE, RARE GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE (NAVY) MODEL 1934 MAUSER PISTOL, VARIATION 2, OST SEE FLEET MARKED! ALL MATCHING WW2
$2,895.00
1 in stock
In collector grade condition, Ost Fleet property numbered, we have an extremely scarce and seldom seen Variation 2 Kriegsmarine with the Eagle/M prominently engraved on the right side of the frame and Osteen (East Sea Kiel Naval Station) property numbered on the front grip strap, Mauser Model 1934 Pistol. This is the rarest of these pistols and according the Jan Still’s “Axis Pistols”, only about 3,000 of the 2nd Variation Model 1934 Kriegsmarine pistols were thought to have been made…a rare Nazi era handgun!
This has an unnumbered Mauser banner magazine and all matching numbers. The blue rates about 95+%, with some minor spotting loss of bluing on the frame, grip strap and end of barrel (seen in pictures)…no rust or pitting, which is terrific considering the harsh marine conditions these pistols experienced…the bore is excellent.
This is a top example of one of the most sought after WW2 pistols!
As you are aware the Naval service was the smallest branch of the armed forces so few pistols were allocated to them. Most of the pistols they were issued are in Davy Jones’s Gun Collection at the bottom of the North Atlantic!!!
