In 90% condition, we have a significant pistol for early automatic pistol collectors, especially FN collectors. We have a very early 1900 production FN Model 1900 pistol that is Military proofed and also ”W” marked indicating issue to the Belgian Gendarmerie. This pistol is all matching and has the earliest features only seen on these initial production pistols such as the lower rear sight platform and the extra proofing on the right side of the slide to the left of the serial number placement. An example of this pistol can be found on page 154 of Vanderlinden’s book.
These very early production Government issued pistols rarely turn up and command a substantial premium over commercially purchased examples. If you are an FN collector, we hardly need tell you how important a piece this is to add to your collection. This should get snapped up quickly so I would not hesitate if you want it, they just don’t turn up.
