Description

In mint crisp condition, we have the nicest example of a Type 1 Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbine, manufactured October 1943 that we have ever offered for sale!  This is a stunning example from the first contract run which are encountered with the high wood stock and the flip sight. The pistol grip is cartouched on the bottom and the circle P proof is in the correct location.   This is a completely factory original textbook example and completely orthodox example, everything is perfect, and these type of paratroopers are very rarely encountered, as the majority have been restored.   The M1A1 is a very popular and highly sought after piece of equipage and its use in the airborne operations in Normandy during the invasion is legendary.  This is a top example and more importantly a genuine M1A1.  This is hands down one of the finest example that we have seen.  You will not find better, the wood and metal are pristine!
