In mint totally original condition, we have a prime example of the most famous German Luftwaffe firearm of WW2, the J.P. Sauer M.30 cased Survival Drilling. This is a very well documented example and was actually recovered from a shot down Junkers JU 88 Bomber, in fact the case bares evidence of this event its outwardly impact dented at one end with absolutely no damage to the weapon. This is a fairly complete example with only the shotgun shells not present.
The Drilling is in magnificent shape, and is an early 1942 production example, the barrel proof dated 12/1941 and the test firing done in April 1942. As stated in the letter describing the history of the weapon it stayed in the same Family from 1946 on, and was obtained from a member of the Zacko Family. This piece was always considered a family treasure and it had been meticulously cared for all of this time. Dr. Zacko engaged our firm because he knew we would be able to locate a serious collector who would meticulously care for this treasured artifact as he has for many years.
