Description
In mint new still in the Japanese cosmoline condition, all matching down to the dustcover, we an extremely interesting Nagoya Arsenal 5th series Type 99 Arisaka 7.7m/m Service Rifle. This rifle is considered transitional as it has some early features such as the anti-aircraft sights, but later features as well such as the short cleaning rod and no provision for a monopod. Rifles in this configuration are rare and highly sought after. This is an un-fired un-issued war trophy that was said to have come out of a warehouse in Manilla, in the Philippines in 1944. This is a must have example for any serious Japanese rifle collector the condition and rarity make it absolutely irresistible!
