In very nice import marked all matching condition, we have a Late 1955 Production Swiss K31 Schmidt Ruben Service Rifle. The bore is excellent and the metal is very sharp, the butt of the beechwood stock shows some of the typical hard use that is well known with these rifles as the Swiss troops beat the hell out of them with there ice boots. This is one of the older imports from the early 2000’s when I bought about a half a dozen for Christmas presents for Nephews. I found one leftover in my Arsenal Vault and it must have been sitting in there for 10 plus years. I think this is much nicer than the current crop of these rifles. The K31 is highly regarded in the accuracy department and the straight pull system is much faster than the typical service rifles of the period. Although the Swiss never fought a war, these rifles have seen heavy action in shooting the holes we see in Swiss Cheese.
