






























SOLD MON APR 15, VERY FAMOUS & STORIED 1936 S CODE KRIEGHOFF LUGER RIG, PICTURED IN AXIS PISTOLS & MANY OTHER BOOKS, MINT CRISP STUNNING & IMPORTANT LUGER!
This is a real piece of Gun Collecting History. In 98% mint crisp stunning condition, all matching including the magazine, we have a Luftwaffe issued 1936 production “S” Code Krieghoff Luger. This is 100% correct and a textbook example. It is rigged out with an ultra rare 1936 dated & maker marked Luftamted Krieghoff Luger holster, the correct Krieghoff loading tool and a spare Krieghoff magazine. I might add this is the rarest Krieghoff Luger holster, it is also maker marked and dated on the inside back panel. In 40 years of collecting this is the only holster of this type we have ever encountered.
This famous and storied Luger has been in collections almost since it was brought back as a WWII war trophy. It was first pictured in the 1950’s book “Luger Variations” is mentioned in Gibson” Krieghoff Luger Reference book. Most importantly it is pictured on page 130 of Jan Still’s “AXIS PISTOLS” The Bible of German Pistol Collecting. At the time the book was published the pistol was in Jan’s Personal Collection. It is believed he sold it about 30 years ago. Being pictured in that book alone makes this a superstar Luger and tremendously increases the desirability of this Luger. After all it’s been vetted and pictured since the 1950’s and it is pictured in the most famous German Pistol Reference book ever printed.
