Description

In excellent factory original condition, we have an extremely difficult to locate U.S. WWI Issued M-1903 Springfield Rifle that was manufactured in March, 1918 at the height of wartime production, one of the last blued rifles manufactured before the black phosphate finish was adopted.   This rifle is JFC cartouched and it is above the 800k serial so it is safe to shoot as its been properly heat treated.    This rifle is 100% factory original with an excellent bore.

As you know, most of the rifles issued during the War were the M-1917 U.S. Enfield, as M-1903 production could just not keep up with the demand of fielding an army.  Almost all of these guns were rebuilt and reworked after both world wars and finding a rifle such as this is an absolute extreme rarity.  Today in 2022 were are at the one hundred and 4 year mark for the fiercest fighting the US  forces participated in.  This is certainly an important artifact of those times and in a condition that would be impossible to find in most museums.
