Description

In very good all matching condition, we are happy to offer a very hard to find Tokyo Arsenal made early production 2nd series Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Carbine.  The bore is excellent and the carbine is matching numbered down to the dust cover and has a  very unusual 3 piece stock.  This carbine was probably made around the early 1920’s and of course served till it was captured during WW2.  Finding an early production carbine this intact is a fairly significant event; most of the early made example were used up in the many years of fighting in China before WW2 even began.  When you find a nice example it almost always was something that was pulled out of an arsenal and had a ground imperial crest.  This will be a must have item for many of our advanced Japanese collectors and we are happy to offer it to them.
